The End

Well everyone, believe it or not I took my last dose 2 days ago and am calling it good with the diet. I lost a total of 66 pounds over the course of almost four full months. My average weight loss was 16.5 pounds per month, but was closer to 30 for the first month. I’ve learned how to diet and exercise again, and how to maintain a healthy weight level. To those at the weight loss center, thank you! You were very patient with me and my stronger personality! As far as weight loss maintenance goes, I’ve made a few vows with myself:

1. I will never again weigh what I did at the beginning of the diet.
2. I commit myself to healthy eating and exercise!
3. I will share this diet and the ideals that I have learned with it with everyone I know!

Just a few things I want to make sure I stick to after going through this process. In the end I think it will really benefit me and I want to help others by telling them about it. So wow…I lost 66 pounds and I now weigh 160 pounds vs. my previous weight of about 225 or so. I look great, just went shopping yesterday for new clothes, and plan on resuming the diet shortly after a little break. My goal weight is my 135 pounds that I used to weigh. Here’s to weight loss freedom!

Cooking = Fun

Starting walking today, but it was a little hard starting up mid week since I work at 9 am. Despite that, I made it down to the place where we were walking at 7am, walked for a mile, made it back and showered before going into work. We’re probably going to start walking earlier though because our schedules aren’t meshing up as well as we would like and we are having to really hurry to get through the mile in time to get to our jobs. What’s worse is we both have to look dressy, so that means going back home before we head out to work. Oh well…

Also, I discovered the wonderful world of healthy cooking today while browsing some recipes online. I never realized there was so much you could make healthy by substituting while cooking. Maybe there’s hope for a gal like me after all, ya know? But yeah, I plan on cooking a whole lot while off this diet. That way I can keep a lot better track of exactly what I am eating and how I can modify it to make it healthier. Of the few things I found out you can do, the most helpful things to me is using oil instead of butter, using a special mayonnaise mixture for egg substitute (much lower in calories and Chol), and cooking with more unprocessed and homemade mixes/sauces. Anyway, 1 more pound gone!

The Brave New World....of Walking

It’s been a busy week, so I haven’t posted in a while, but I am still here and still working on losing weight! Life gets crazy busy sometimes, ya know? Anyway, I lost another 4 pounds over the last 7 days or so. I was surprised that I actually lost that much when I looked back at what my weight log said I have been losing these past few days, but I suppose anything can happen, right? Anyway, so that was exciting and I am a little more encouraged that I might finish this out pretty strong. As far as working out goes, I am not really interested in continuing to work out like I have because with this diet, I don’t think I’m up for it. It’s not that great of a feeling and it really leaves me worn out, so I think it was a bad idea. Instead I am starting walking with Rikki in the mornings. She jogs, too, but she takes daily walks in the morning for about a mile or so. I know I can do that, and it will ease up the amount of working out I do. I’ll resume later on with the lifting. I’m not a quitter! Just a “postponer”….

Partying All Night!

Wow, the party lasted a lot longer than I thought it would the other night so I was wiped for the next day. But that’s ok, because everyone who helped plan the party chipped in and got me a great gift basket for helping out provide a place for the party. And they even remembered I was on a diet and got me one with minimal amounts of food in it. That really helps, especially with how hard it is to resist food right now. I’m proud of myself for that night, though. I didn’t eat anything that wasn’t explicitly allowed in the diet I am currently on. I did grab a few things, but they were very low in calories and probably didn’t affect anything at all, which is good.

Speaking of weight, I am currently at 169, so I broke the 170 barrier that has been haunting me for the last couple of weeks. Next it’s the 160 mark, which should be coming up here pretty soon. Oh yes, and while on the topic of weight lost, I did remember to workout yesterday, much to my chagrin, and I also made sure that I didn’t overdo it, either. I’m going to head down again on Thursday, just as I promised all of you a few weeks ago, I think. Anyway, see ya all later girls (and guys)!

Sore...and Tired...

Okay, I was still sore from Monday’s workout when I went in for my workout today and I think that it was a really bad idea to try and workout again while I was still so tired. My muscles are really tired now, and I think my weight loss went down a bit, since the scale says I have only lost 2 pounds since my last entry and it has been four days. Probably just a fluke, but either way I am going to make sure I am not pushing myself like crazy while working out. I don’t need big guns, I just need to lose a little more weight! Anyway, I am hosting a party later tonight for a friend’s birthday, so I probably shouldn’t write too much more, but I will say this, if you are having social dinners, definitely be aware of the fact that social eating pressures are present. I mean, this girl is generally a pretty tough cookie, but I have had problems lately trying to keep my eating in check when I am around other people. I am kind of worried about this party for that reason, but I figure if I use a hunger suppressant and don’t stay around the food I should be fine.

Workouts not so hot...

I actually did it. I worked out just as I said I was going to. It was painful because I really didn’t want to go, but last minute I figured I better just head out there and get the job done. So I went to the gym and hung out there for about an hour and did a complete workout (on a small scale). In general we aren’t supposed to do crazy workouts while on this diet since apparently it can cause counterproductive results, but I do know that a light workout is OK, which is a perfect excuse for me to not have to work too hard, ya know? I’m kinda one of those girls that doesn’t like to break her back if she doesn’t have to. ;) But in general I don’t mind doing some work if I am getting a good result for it. That’s one of the reasons I chose this diet. It was easy, cost effective, and didn’t take a lot of work…well, physical work that is. I spent many nights craving food I knew I couldn’t have, but that’s ok. I hopped on the scale today and I am sitting right around 173, so I am getting close to my goal weight, but I still probably have quite a bit left to go. My weight loss is finally picking back up again so hopefully it will stay that way. This girl doesn’t have forever!

The 30th: Back So Soon....

Short post today since it’s mid-week and I have a lot of work to do. Basically I went into Seattle HCG again today to pick up some more HCG and a diet suppressant. No weight loss recorded, but that’s okay since I just weighed myself yesterday evening. Hopefully I will lost another pound or so tomorrow and by mid week next week I will be down another few pounds. Also, here’s my exercise routine for the next two weeks so you can see that I am consistent! I’m pretty proud of it, if I might say so myself:

Workout: Monday and Friday next week
Workout: Monday and Thursday the week after

Will I stick to it? Probably not, but it’s at least worth a try. Anywho, as long as I at least go the next two weeks. I’ll be in touch gals (and guys).
